Completed and handed over the Chancery Lane Teaching Hospital, in San Fernando, a world-class facility

Established a Nursing Academy, which will train nurses to fill vacancies in the public health sector.

Increased 24/7 Water Supply from 18% in 2010 to 70% in 2014.

Moved to transform social programmes such as CEPEP to develop skills and channel people into better incomes and better jobs.

Raised the minimum wage twice in 4 years - from $9 per hour in 2010, to $15 per hour in2015, to improve the livelihoods of the lower income citizens.

Introduced the Rapid Bus Transport System on East-West Corridor providing a bus every 15mins.

A Closed-Circuit Camera Network set up throughout the country for security and traffic management.

Established an Aviation Institute of Trinidad and Tobago at the Camden Airfield in Couva.

Expanded the GATE program to include technical and vocational education and training.

Established the first ever Drilling Academy in the history of our country, responding to upstream energy activities.

Introduced Workforce Assessment Centres to help skilled persons to become certified, fill gaps in their skillset and improve the quality of the services they provide.

Halted the decline of oil production for the first time since 2005, with oil production now trending upwards, currently at approximately 80,000 barrels per day.

Recorded the highest amount of foreign direct investment in history – from an FDI of US$500m in 2010, we have now crossed FDI of over US$3 Billion.

Revised the Standing Orders of the Parliament for greater accountability: Standing Order 83allows for the examination of the estimates in Standing Finance Committee together with the Appropriation Bill.

Established a new Standing Order for Prime Minister’s Question Time during the second sitting of the House each month.

Local Government Reform – introduced legislation for Proportional Representation.

Introduced and passed legislation to govern public procurement, bringing a new element to integrity in public office.
